Today Heinz Fischer, the Austrian Federal President, unveiled a Memorial for the Victims of Nazi Military Justice created by Olaf Nicolai at Vienna’s Ballhausplatz. For the opening ceremony M!M was shown, a site specific choreography by Laurent Chétouane, developed together and performed by Mikael Marklund.

Since 2005, the Tanzquartier Wien supports emerging choreographers in the development of short works in the context of Werkstück (formerly known as Stückwerk). At the same time the format Werkstück offers a platform for new, experimental choreographic works. The individual projects are mentored by a coach, reknowed artists like Andrea Bold, Frans Poelstra, Milli Bitterli, Saskia Hölbling, Oleg Soulimenko, Philippe Riéra, Christine Standfest, Guy Cools, Christine Gaigg, as well as the TQW team from the departments dramaturgy, training & workshops, production and theory.
