In the context of the reconstruction of the solo Schwarz Weiß Zeigen [Showing Black and White] by Gerhard Bohner long-time companions of the German dancer and choreographer and a specially compiled documentary film give an insight into his life and work.

Nele Hertling, vice-president of the Berlin Academy of Arts, will introduce Gerhard Bohner’s artistic work in the context of the development of German dance theatre. The photographer Gert Weigelt, who with his photos has already written dance history himself, opens a digital exhibition that will accompany the reconstruction project. To close the evening the première of a documentary film by Florian Zimmermann and Jean-Louis Sonzogni can be seen, which is based on the recording of one of the last performances of Schwarz Weiß Zeigen in the framework of the BRDance Festival in Munich in June 1990.
