For DANCE the choreographer Lucinda Childs worked with two other famous representatives of the artistic avant-garde in the US – the fine artist Sol LeWitt and the composer Philip Glass. The emblematic work from 1979 fascinates with its subtle play of form and variation, of spatial abstraction and musical dynamism, and can be seen at the Tanzquartier Wien for the first time in Europe since the recasting by Childs’ own company.

You’ve changed is a declaration of love for dance as a form, language and craft. In a virtuoso and challenging dance work, Thomas Hauert develops his language of movement which emerges from jointly designed composition principles and improvisation processes, between freedom and responsibility. An invitation to an encounter with movement, our ideals and the changes in ourselves.

In the new work by Chris Haring with the performance group Liquid Loft, dancing quality and acoustic landscapes meet one another. In the movement spaces that develop the choreographer, considered to be one of the internationally most successful representatives of the Austrian dance scene, pushes forward the exploration of symbolic as well as social inscriptions in the body.
