The movement ideas of the Alexander method are oriented on the ability of our body to remember the natural use of its movement apparatus. We play with the perception and understanding of our own movement patterns and interrupt familiar processes in order to open up spaces for new experiences. The freeing from unwanted or restricting tensions leads to greater freedom of movement and to a calmer, deeper breathing. A process in which we get to know ourselves better both physically as well as mentally and emotionally and in which we learn to understand the way our body functions.
