DANZA Y FRONTERA (online)

This weekend, the premiere of Climatic Dances, the fifth part of the Endangered Human Movements series, would have taken place at Tanzquartier Wien. Due to the measures to contain the Covid-19 pandemic, the new piece by Amanda Piña / nadaproductions cannot be shown at the moment.

Instead, we decided together with Amanda Piña to publish a recording of her choreography DANZA Y FRONTERA, premiered as the season opener 2018 at TQW. The video will be available on our Newsblog until Sunday, 29 March, 23.00.

At the same time, this also marks the start of various text and video publications in the form of lectures, performance documentations or other contributions by artists in the TQW Newsblog. We will keep you posted via our social media channels.

Further information and credits for DANZA Y FRONTERA can be found here.

At the beginning of the piece, a video is shown on a large screen. This video stands also at the beginning of the recording.

“This work is dedicated to those that have the courage to move, to those whose  bodies carry borders.” — Amanda Piña
