Mariella Greil

works in the field of artistic research, is a dancer, a Senior Artist at the Angewandte Performance Laboratory and an Elise Richter PEEK Fellow (FWF) at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Together with Vera Sander, she is the co-editor of the book (per)forming feedback (2016), and with Emma Cocker and Nikolaus Gansterer of Choreo-graphic Figures: Deviations from the Line (2017). She published the monograph Being in Contact – Encountering a Bare Body (2021) with de Gruyter.

Mia Habib

is a dancer and choreographer whose work has been presented worldwide. She holds an MA in Conflict Resolution and Mediation from Tel Aviv University and a BA in Choreography from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She has published two books: Stranger Within (2021, co-edited with Jassem Hindi) and How to Die – Inopiné (2022, co-edited with Ashkan Sepahvand).

Werner Moebius

works with sounds, beats and files in the context of audio culture, sonic and intermedia art in between conceptualisms, contemporary composition, electroacoustic improvisation, electronica and pop. His work ranges from minimalistic soundscapes to weird instrumental poppy tunes or audiovisual concepts in collaborations with artists of differing media.

K.T. Zakravsky

is a conceptual and performance artist, philosopher, author, and project manager. She holds a PhD in Philosophy. She conducted the artistic research project Passenger Diaries with Mariella Greil, Lucie Strecker, and Viktor Fucek. She led the PEEK project morphoPoly at the University of Applied Arts Vienna with Jan Lauth, Simone Carneiro et al.

Bare Bodies – Thresholding Life

Following Mariella Greil’s Morning Practice and in anticipation of the workshop Verwerfungen & Faltungen: eine choreo-ethische Assemblage, TQW hosts the book presentation Bare Bodies – Thresholding Life (Angewandte, DeGruyter, Berlin 2024). This anthology is dedicated to bodies in transition, on thresholds, and at the edges of life, discussed in terms of their artistic, political and existential dimensions. The book is an artistic-philosophical exploration of emergence, survival and decay at the intersection of performance and life practices.
