Coaching
This special format will give people the chance to take part in individual hour-long coaching sessions with artist Jakob Lena Knebl.
Self-empowerment plays a key role in Jakob Lena Knebl’s artistic works. This was one of the reasons for her to begin training in Systemic Coaching. Now, the main objective for her is to pass on this knowledge, to be supportive and help others in reaching their goals by making use of their pre-existing capabilities. The practice of coaching originates in a sports context – thus the contextualisation with the performance Wir sind Henkel – and for this reason a mostly commercial character has been attributed to it. Jakob Lena Knebl, however, regards coaching as an effective political tool.
This coaching event will be continued as a series in various different contexts. The concept is to work and affiliate with like-minded people and to support those who have no other means of access to these opportunities.

The results are multimedia installations she calls “spaces of desire”, which resist deterministic definitions and create a new dynamic space for humour and sensuality.
