Current Information

In autumn 2021, Tanzquartier Wien is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a special six week thematic focus. Highly anticipated premieres by local artists meet selected international guests performances, thus taking stock and having a glance into the future of contemporary dance. A series of panel discussions with prominent figures and an artistic lab will reflect on the status quo and the futures of dance as an art form, thus rounding out the programme. But there will also be chances to celebrate and, not least, to dance.

One of the highlights is A Divine Comedy, the new spectacular performance by the exceptional choreographer Florentina Holzinger, who transforms Halle E in the MuseumsQuartier into an anatomy hall putting none other than death itself on the dissecting table.

The 2020/21 season kicks off on 8 October. First programme highlights will be disclosed at the beginning of September.

In order to shorten the time until then, a whole series of texts invite you to enjoy summer reading. All articles published in TQW Magazin, including texts on pieces that had to be postponed to a later date due to the Covid-19 pandemic, are available for reading here.

We wish you relaxing summer days and we look forward to meeting you again in autumn!
