Due to the lockdown imposed by the Austrian Federal Government to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, we have to temporarily suspend all performances. Our March programme will take place online wherever possible. After their premiere, the performances by Ulduz Ahmadzadeh and Amanda Piña will be available for 72 hours as free video-on-demand on our website. In addition, live talks with the artists are planned on Zoom. Sama Maani’s lecture in our theory programme will also take place on Zoom.

Rehearsals at TQW are not affected by the measures. We will therefore continue to work in order to be able to stage performances in front of an audience again as soon as possible.

Until then we would like to shorten the time with a new format in our Newsblog starting 25 February: For Chain Reaction, we have invited ten Vienna-based artists to create this shared space in TQW’s Studio 1. Each of the invited will – only one at a time – make a performative statement of up to three minutes, to which the next person can respond in the form of movement or another artistic gesture on the following day.

Training, workshops and research labs will continue to be held online. Our library is open to the public. Reservation prior to visit is required.

Box office opening hours can be found here. All tickets sold for the period of the temporary closure will be cancelled and refunded. You can find more information about the ticket refund below.

Please make sure you get through the next few weeks safely. We look forward to seeing you again soon at Tanzquartier Wien.

How does the refund of tickets that have already been purchased work?

The tickets will be automatically cancelled and refunded. We kindly ask for your patience, this process may take some time.
