CANCELLED: Hanging Out at Donau in Summer
mit Schnorchel, Hand in Hand.
Wir sehen eine kleine Gruppe Fische an uns vorbei schwimmen, ich schau dich an, wir lachen. Du bist schön und alles wird weit.
Idleness, change, play, show on a hot summer day on the Donauinsel. The summer heat brings lethargy, slowness, and irritability. Questionable moments of leisure bustle get extended attention: uptight changing under too small a towel, topless or not, the overflowing extent of equipment of flippers, snorkel, picnic and co. During a beach situation.
Hanging Out at Donau in Summer is the second part of the CHANGE OF SEASONS series. A look into the changing inner set-up due to external circumstances. Arranged in four episodes that draw the changing moods of our togetherness through the seasons: between isolation, departure, turmoil, and stagnation. Being together, despite the constantly changing circumstances of the environment.
An invitation to a Pride Month afternoon at TQW Studios.
is a performance and visual artist from Germany. Her first work for stage Fisch und Schwan in Negligé premiered in 2021 as a journey through a living anti-cabinet of curiosities and memories. Spaziergang bei Nacht followed in 2022, an acoustic duet with Pete Prison IV that held the warm atmosphere of a village square in the distorted landscape of theatre lights. Susanne Songi works with the texture of different materials, objects, languages and performative states, bridging an act of writing and following scores with the fluidity inherent to moments of encounter. Susanne Songi has shared her work in the frame of Handle With Care / brut Imagetanz, Rakete / TQW Wien as well as within the 8:tension Series by Impulstanz. She has collaborated in different constellations for performative works in public space, with a. o. Alexandra Pirici, Scarlet Yu and Xavier le Roy or in self-organised groups such as Gruppe Bussi and Perilla, an association for the support and visibility of the Asian diaspora in Austria.
