Hanging Out (Change of Seasons)

Susanne Songi Griem

is a performance and visual artist from Germany. Her first work for the stage, Fisch und Schwan in Negligé, premiered in 2021. It is a journey on memory in a living anti-cabinet of curiosities. Spaziergang bei Nacht (If we walk together it’s not scary) followed in 2022, an acoustic duet with Pete Prison IV in the warm atmosphere of a village square within a distorted landscape. In her work, Susanne Songi Griem creates a carefully constructed web of elements that allows moments of particular immediacy.

Yuwol June C.

is a time-based artist. Their works aim to make one aware of the neglected spots dwelling among us. Their artistic language focuses on the liminal space between words, images, objects, and bodies.

Hui Ye

works with various media, such as video and sound installation, composition, and live sound performance, and often addresses questions regarding individual social identity and its entanglements with different cultural and political contexts.

Bella Diablo

is an MC and lyricist. Her texts, which mix High German, Linz slang, and her native Vietnamese, are just as diverse as the Upper Austrian rapper herself.

Hanging Out (Change of Seasons)

Underwater, with your diving goggles on, hand in hand.
We see a group of small fish passing,
I look at you, we laugh.
You are beautiful. And the world becomes wide.

Idleness, change, and play on a hot summer’s day on the Danube Island. The summer heat brings lethargy, slowness and relaxation. Questionable moments of recreational hustle: uptight changing of clothes, an excessive amount of equipment of flip flops, snorkels and picnics at the beach.

You follow, breathing deep through the mouthpiece,
reaching for her hand to find courage.
Together you swim away from the beach,
its fish and mussels
towards the depth of darker shades of purple
with no visible grounds.

An invitation to an evening together with Susanne Songi Griem, Yuwol June C., Bella Diablo and Hui Ye to relax and unwind in a temporary living room during Pride Month.

Do come in swim- and loungewear!
