TQW DOC

Summer Term 2021

Interdisciplinary, inter-university PhD forum on topics concerned with choreography, performance, body, art and politics at Tanqzquartier Wien. Once a month, this forum gives the opportunity to connect via Zoom with colleagues from different disciplines and institutions. In addition to a platform for open debate, the exchange of methods and a search for terminological definitions, there will also be opportunity to present and discuss one’s own research.

ÖAW scholarship holder Freda Fiala will present her PhD thesis “Masks and Masking in Contemporary Asian Performance Art. Bodily Politics as Strategies of Critical Globalism”, which she is currently completing at the Departments of Sinology and Theatre, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna.
