Tanzquartier Wien

Interdisciplinary, interuniversity post-grad forum on the subjects of choreography, performance, body, art and politics at TQW. In the redesigned library in the Studios, TQW provides time and space once a month to network with colleagues from other disciplines and other institutions. Besides exchanging methods and conceptual work on terminology, those attending can present their own research projects and put them up for discussion.

So far, the following have signed up and/or have been involved in devising the event: students from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the University of Art and Design Linz, the University of Salzburg/Dance Studies and the University of Vienna/Theater, Film and Media Studies, Philosophy and Art History).

On Monday, 7 January this term’s last session will take place in our library at TQW Studios.

Anne Juren will talk about her dissertation Studies on fantasmical anatomies which she is writing at the Stockholm University of the Arts under the supervision of André Lepecki and Sandra Noeth.

Stephanie Misa is a doctoral candidate at the University of the Arts Helsinki and will present her work My Mothers Dancing on my Tongue.
