PARASOL – a dance group of TQW 2025
PARASOL is a dance group of Tanzquartier Wien (TQW). Each year, a group of five up-and-coming performers and dancers get the opportunity to work on pieces that are developed and performed at TQW under the direction of experienced artists.
PARASOL sees itself as a salaried further training programme for young artists: participants not only benefit from the process of rehearsal work and gaining stage experience but can also further educate themselves in exchange with each other, with the choreographers and the TQW programming team, as well as by participating in the activities on offer at TQW.
In 2025, PARASOL comprises a work period that includes developing a piece under the direction of Alex Franz Zehetbauer.
Terms and conditions:
If you want to participate in PARASOL 2025, you should:
- be a professional performer/dance artist under the age of 35
- have a residence and work permit for the European Union
- be available for the following work period in Vienna: 7 January to 17 March 2025
- make time for a meeting with Alex Franz Zehetbauer on Monday, 23 September 2024.
Payment:
Tanzquartier Wien offers all participants employment in the period between 7 January and 17 March 2025. Specifically: a monthly gross salary of € 1.835 for 25 hours per week, including pro-rata bonuses for the contract period. Employment and salary include the rehearsal phase and two performances. In addition, participants can attend all activities and events on offer at TQW during the period of employment: performances, Body & Performance Practices and theory events.
