Understanding the body by means of the bones, of the in-between spaces in the joints and their possible articulations, makes the outer muscles permeable. We can extend movements along the bone structures into the space and open ourselves to the space as well as connect inner spaces with outer spaces and orientate ourselves.
I will be working with gravity, porosity (including of thought), with the permeability of the skin and muscles. We will examine relations to our own body and to other bodies as well as to the space. A relational body practice with emotional associative resonances, which I have developed over the last few years, in search of a movement practice with spaces and in the landscape.
creates works for spaces and with spaces that combine choreography, installation and language in a very unique way. Her works could be considered walk-in assemblages, as visitors can enter her performative worlds and become a part of them. Claudia works with bodies and materials in art spaces, landscapes and urban spaces. Myths, rituals, the secret and the uncanny, ways of coexisting with non-human beings, organs and forms of violence are the subject matter of her work. Claudia is the artistic director of theatercombinat and currently develops the cycle ORGAN/ismus – poetics of relations.
