Contemporary Dance Training

I am interested in the practice of a receptive, conscious and playful body. A body in constant research and curiosity to discover new movement potentials. In this training we will practice the continuity of both, movement and the observation of movement, by the activation of different body and mind connections. We will follow playful tasks to awaken our senses and recognize how our bodies respond physically to different words, questions, sounds, images, distances or touch. Through movement we will process information about the brain hemispheres and will observe how they control and support a better movement. We will encourage listening, alertness, collective decisions and mutual inspiration to move and travel in space. We will eventually translate this physical awareness into a series of exercises inspired by momentum, spiralling, rolling, sliding, pulling, pushing, pivoting, falling and recovering. We will physically and mentally stimulate concepts of flexibility, dialogue, space, awareness, present moment and joy for movement.
