Contemporary Flow
Based on such fundamental elements of contemporary dance as rebound, slide, suspension and impulse, this training will work on extensive and dynamic choreographies to help find one’s own individual expression. Set movement sequences focusing on anatomic precision will be combined with playful improvisation exercises. Our spontaneity is challenged, and our sensory perception of musicality and rhythm is sharpened. The orientation of our body in space and in relation to the other dancers plays an important role so that the experiences gained can also be transferred to our everyday lives. Furthermore, focusing on the spine enables transitions from standing to the floor and in floor work.
The weekly Atelier is primarily aimed at dance enthusiasts without professional dance training.
is a Vienna-based choreographer and visual artist. Starting from working on the body and its cultural and (body)linguistic identity, her way of working develops into questions of ambivalences of interpersonal, ecological, and material dependencies and belonging. Her dance performance Mining Minds (2021, brut Vienna) was most recently shown at [8:tension]/ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival 2022. She received the H13 Lower Austria Prize for Performance for her work MINE (2021).
