The class starts with a closer look of the mobility of the spine in connection to the breath and limbs. We will use the motion of walking to warm up the body, recognize and connect to the different types of presences in the room. We will rediscover the movement potential of different body parts by the use of isolation, playful changes of dynamic, directions and tendencies in the space. Throughout the week, we will develop this awareness into a series of exercises inspired on Release technique and Floor work such as change of weight, momentum, spiraling, rolling, sending, sliding, pulling, pushing, pivoting, falling and recovering. We will physically and mentally stimulate concepts of flexibility, space and efficiency while dancing in the room.
