Countertechnique

Contemporary Training

Within a clear structure this class will take us towards a fluidity of movement, training presence and awareness – starting with simple exercises, wakening up the sensibilisation of the body in movement, leading up to more complex and dynamic sequences. With guided exercises as well as improvisational tasks we will explore the functionality of body parts, anatomical structures such as the skeleton or muscles which results in effectivity in movement and a sense of flow. Aspects that we will play with are an investigation of joints as places of movement, the concept of volume, activating our senses and listening to one self in relation to one’s surrounding, useful use of weight, dynamics and clarity of movement.
