Everybody’s Fantasy: Unplugged
Everybody’s Fantasy: Unplugged is a performance workshop led by Jen Rosenblit, Gérald Kurdian and Li Tavor to open, share and facilitate a further inquiry into the performance of Everybody’s Fantasy. We will name and propose familiar containers and phenomenons to then empty out the particular contents and add what might seem unrelated at first. We will use the rehearsal, the chance to try again as a method for togetherness where gathering is not bound to inclusion or exclusion. We might feel left out at times but we will continue to participate with the illusive production of fantasy. The work imagines a temporary holding, in place of ownership, a way to take responsibility and take care, inclusive of the ability to walk away, to depart, to end, to let a thing exist beyond our grasp, collection and maintenance of it.
The workshop is open to all curious people, no limit on practice or medium, studies or technical ability….in fact we would like to invite people as they are with all their varying abilities and curiosities!
makes performances based in Berlin surrounding architectures, text, bodies and ideas concerned with problems that arise inside of agendas for togetherness. Rosenblit’s works lean toward the uncanny while tracking an emergent logic between things. Rosenblit is a 2018 Guggenheim Fellow, a recipient of a 2014 New York Dance and Performance “Bessie” Award and has collaborated with artists including Simone Aughterlony, Miguel Gutierrez, A.K.Burns and Philipp Gehmacher.
The workshop will be held at TQW Halle G, directly on stage, in the performative setting of Everybody’s Fantasy. Workshop participants get a discount on the performance ticket.
