Liquid Journey VII

Exploring the transformative qualities of water in the urban space along the Danube Canal, our dances come into contact with the waves and the pulsation. In Vienna, the geological bedrock consists of rocks that were formed when Vienna was still a sea. This sea eventually turned into a lake, dried up, and was later covered by the Danube and Vienna Woods sediments. The traces of this primaeval sea can still be found everywhere: in the city, as it has grown, and in our bodies – in a sympoetic relationship with the environment. Inspired by hydrofeminism, we will explore our physical relationship with water. Body fluids nourish us, detoxify us, and shape transitions. They help us initiate and accompany the change between different sensations and feelings. In this workshop, we will practise poetic mindfulness towards ourselves and the culture-nature we are a part of.
