In this morning practice, I intend to share different aspects of my personal movement repertoire in daily sessions. It will be all about the body and bodies in movement. The body will be our material, which we can shape and move. We will break it down into parts and resemble it, with one centre or many. We will perfect our ‘felt sense’ in relation to gravity and ‘effort’, or even ‘comfort’. We will work on the concept of an internal space of the body while also retaining our relationship to the surrounding world. Only this way, the body can move. We will look closely at our bodies’ movements – always with an eye on the human body’s natural parameters of verticality and horizontality, stasis and movement, material and focus, front, back, centre and periphery: a close look at the corpus and all its part(icipant)s.
