Muscular Conscience

In this workshop, Diego Sinniger aims to share what he considers to be the five pillars of movement: muscular conscience, undulations, contractions, partnering, and interpretation. These pillars constitute the first five phases of the ‘culture of movement’, allowing dancers to find, discover, and deepen the understanding of their bodies. During the class, we will search and analyse ways to improve our internal observation capacity, whether physical, emotional, or spatial. We will look at martial arts as a fountain of inspiration since they are rooted in being conscientious of the present moment. We will also use other disciplines, such as hip-hop, contemporary dance, and theatre.
