Cancelled: on losing your tongue
+++ This workshop is cancelled due to family reasons. +++
In many ways, the feeling of being speechless fuels the desire to create art. Often, the absence of language enables artists to communicate with their bodies, images or objects. At the same time, however, it is expected of artists to be able to talk and write about their own work. In on losing your tongue, we will explore the resource of being speechless and focus on how to translate this feeling into texts and discussions. Sometimes, it is the ability to say nothing about and with one’s own art that gives rise to an authentic voice. We will try and be as quiet as possible to be able to listen to this voice.
In addition to on losing your tongue, you can also book the workshop Louise Bourgeois peels a mandarin orange. Both workshops will be conducted in German, with texts in both German and English language.
