POETIC FETISH
In this workshop we will approach the idea and practice of fetish in a poetic way. We will transform everyday items into magical objects, engage in new, unknown relationships, and explore a performative narrative using movement and language. The participants learn in a playful way how to develop an exciting story from any object, no matter how mundane, and how to use this magical power for their own work. Trust your gut instincts, bring an everyday item along that appeals to you the most and be amazed by the stimulating potential it holds.
Sebastiano Sing held a TQW Training Scholarship in 2018.
examines constructed notions of masculinity/-ies, fetish and intimacy in his artistic practice. Previous performances have taken him to various European cities and festivals, including the Biennale Teatro (2018) and the 56th Art Biennale (2015) in Venice, Steirischer Herbst 2016 in Graz, Wiener Festwochen 2017 and brut Wien in April 2019. He studied Performative Art at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, graduating with distinction.
In the summer of 2019 he participated in the ATLAS programme at Impulstanz. He was awarded a TQW training scholarship in the 2018/19 season. He was Assistant Director at Münchner Volkstheater in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons.
This workshop takes place on 25 and on 26 November 2019.
