Release Ballet

Release Ballet focuses on an anatomical-organic, self-reliant approach to ballet technique. Major influences are principles of the Klein Technique (Barbara Mahler, Susan Klein) and associated concepts of connections in the body as well as inspirations from release and somatic approaches. The clear structure of the slow and meticulous work at the barre helps establish a neutral alignment, which forms the basis of a free, organic flow of movement. Centre practice concentrates on fluid and expansive dancing through efficient use of energy and experiencing a free flow. A stress-free atmosphere encourages the dancers to develop musicality, dynamism and speed in order to learn complex movement sequences.
