While certain topics I have devoted myself to in recent years will significantly impact on the three-part workshop, urgent issues I am currently exploring will spark off the three workshops. I am interested in getting together several times over an extended period of time to share and work on present-day concerns. Nonetheless, body and dance, space and institution, material and event are the major conceptual pairs I frequently labour on. Dancing always means setting an understanding of the body in motion. The experience and conception of space creates places, which in turn become contexts. The moment of the performance comprises the action that turns all these parameters into a constellation. We will talk a lot at times, at other times a little, sometimes we will read, or look, or do nothing but move. Various texts and images will serve as stimuli, as will issues we will address both physically and in discussions.

This workshop is aimed at artists, dancers and choreographers.
