Tensegric Embodiment – Myofascial Release and Integration
Based on the push/pull principles of tensegrity, or in other words – islands of compression in an ocean of tone and tonus – we will study myofascial movement in detail.
Starting with recent physiological research, we use this knowledge to access aspects of the myofascial system. To sense and study the world of fascia and muscles in us, and how myofascia create relationships to our surroundings and within ourselves. We then move on to applying these scores creatively and playfully in our direct environment: in the studio, on your yoga mat, in your living room, or anywhere else you might find yourself in.
developed Tensegric Embodiment as a synthesis of years of teaching dance and somatics with her practice of Myoreflex Therapy, where she helped myriads of dancers through movement restrictions and pain.
In collaboration with Myoreflex Therapy founder Dr. Kurt Mosetter and ImPulsTanz she now offers a further education for dancers and others interested in the body’s intelligence in moving as Embodied Myoreflex Practitioner. In her PhD the matter of fascia she conceived a site-specific, participatory choreography out of her findings.
