USE-ABUSE

The Berlin-based choreographer Nir de Volff / TOTAL BRUTAL developed in the past few years the USE-ABUSE movement method. USE-ABUSE is a technique that sets the physical structure in relation to the breath and examines its harmonic or disharmonious interaction. It addresses areas of the body that are often ignored unconsciously and tries to fill them with new liveliness. The method searches for harmonisation and coordination between the body and the emotions of dancers, actors and performers. It encourages physical freedom and sincerity and encourages to drop any self-criticism. USE-ABUSE has been invited to prestigious dance centres worldwide and returns now to TQW.
