Vocal Training – Exploring Sounds and Songs
The exploration of breathing, vibration, resonance and sound forms the basis for the practice of vocal training. It unites body and voice, for instance as a somatic approximation to the “gesture” of breathing: enquiring into volume, surfaces, spaces, most notably in the thorax and belly areas. It provides insights into the different spaces of resonance and sound in the body, explores the various physical anchoring points of the voice and promotes a greater awareness of the acoustic space surrounding it.
