Voice as Action
N. Eda Erçin returns to TQW with the workshop series Voice as Action following her participation in the Embodying Knowing Lab (September 2023). The series focuses on the translingual status of the human voice as a physical and social action. The first day (18.03.) starts with an interactive performance lecture on voice, identity and embodied research. The following days explore ‘voice as movement’ [voice in psychophysical actor training] (19.03.), ‘voice as sound’ [nonverbal voice as ecological practice] (20.03.) and ‘voice as song’ [encounter with the past, others and memory] (21.03.).
A collection of short videos of N. Eda Erçin’s songwork can be found here.
