Contemporary Ballet

The Magic of Ballet #1 – Loveliness

We will explore, identify, apply and reflect the magic and, in particular, the loveliness of ballet. For many dancers, ballet is a useful basic training: you know what you get, it feels good during class and especially afterwards. At the same time, it’s a language that unites dancers. By becoming consciously aware of the loveliness of ballet and treating beauty with care, delicacy or even more intensity, we expand our aesthetic experiences and our perception in this class during training. Each day we focus on a different aspect of loveliness, prepare it in the body and apply it in the subsequent contemporary ballet class. As the week progresses, we will develop an increased collective awareness of why we enjoy ballet training and do it so often, and why it somehow makes us happy. And maybe, in the future, will make us even happier.
